As a Clinical Psychologist, I have had a minimum of 6 years of university specialised training to be able to work with a wide range of mental health conditions; however, I do work best with people experiencing:
- depression and/or burnout
- anxiety and phobias
- trauma
- relationship issues
- difficulties managing chronic illness
(e.g., chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine, chronic pain)
- obsessive compulsive disorder
- ADHD management
- Sleep disorders (see Sleep Psychology page for further details)
I offer trauma-informed, holistic, online therapy sessions tailored to support your mental health journey. I always aim to promote a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment for all and have experience working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, across the lifespan, and LGBTQI+ individuals. Using evidence-based approaches, we work together to address your mental health concerns - all from the comfort of your home. I provide these services through Ataraxos, Australia's first integrative mental health clinic where I am the founder and CEO. For more information about Ataraxos visit our website at www.ataraxos.com.au.
My clients tell me I am warm, calm, and easy to talk to. I do my best to truly listen and always approach our work together with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment. Everyone deserves a space to be completely honest and authentic; I believe we’re all doing the best we can with what we have.
I am committed to an evidence-based yet highly individualised approach. We’re all a little different, so I work collaboratively to discover what strategies, approaches, and tools will serve you best. I also value the importance of understanding my client's physical health and collaborating with other health practitioners, recognising that mind and body are one and the same, and believe that we cannot treat one without treating the other. My approach centers on cultivating balance rather than chasing the idea of ‘perfect’ wellness, believing that we do not need to put unnecessary pressure on our already overwhelmed nervous systems.
Depending on your needs and preferences, I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Schema Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
- Exposure and Response Prevention
- Mindfulness-Based Therapy
- Somatic Therapy
- Compassion-Focused Therapy
