(also known as yasminthepsych). I’m also a recovering people-pleaser and perfectionist who is also a clinical psychologist and sleep psychologist. I’m here to support you on your journey towards greater wellbeing. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or superficial fixes. I sit with you as a human first, clinician second. Together, we’ll untangle old patterns, find practical tools that actually fit your life, and build new ways forward that feel less like pressure and more like permission.
I have over a decade of clinical and research experience across psychology, neuropsychology, sleep and longevity. Before becoming a clinical psychologist, I worked as a sleep scientist and technician, contributing to research and fatigue-management initiatives for industry. My career has spanned government, corporate and private sectors, in hospital, outpatient and neurodiverse settings. I’ve also completed further training in integrative approaches to healthcare under supervision from experts trained at Harvard Medical School. These experiences shape my evidence-based, personalised practice, which blends behavioural neuroscience, the latest research and lived experience. I truly believe that lasting change is possible, even when the path feels overwhelming.
I’m passionate about helping people sleep better, and about explaining why sleep goes wrong in the first place. Whether it’s insomnia, shift work, a disrupted body clock or ADHD-related sleep problems, I’d rather help you understand what’s driving your sleep than hand you another list of tips. I share my work on Instagram at @yasminthepsych, through lecturing for Talks on Tuesdays, and through other speaking, media and podcast appearances. I also sit on an advisory panel for the Sleep Health Foundation.
Living with chronic illness showed me where standard care can fall short, and it’s what sparked my passion for evidence-based integrative healthcare: care that looks at the whole person, is personalised, and is collaborative. That’s why I founded Ataraxos, an integrative psychology practice offering care Australia-wide.
Outside of work, you’ll find me hanging out with my mini dachshunds, Nala and Bonnie, wobbling my way through a yoga class, and drinking matcha (I’m fully on the matcha bandwagon and loving it!).

healing works best when we look at the whole person: mind, body, connection, and purpose.
Rest is not laziness. Boundaries are not selfish. Asking for help is not weakness.
It’s not your fault that you’re sick. However, no one else can do the healing work for you.
I believe you. I believe you. I believe you.
